Self Credit Repair - Secrets That The Big Guys Don’t Want You To Know

Self Credit Repair - Secrets That The Big Guys Don’t Want You To
Know

by Tim Beachum

Throw out everything that you have been told thus far. Forget about
using credit repair agencies. You would be better off writing to
Santa and asking him to help you.The goal of this article is to
share some surefire techniques that are guaranteed to work.

I teach my students to start their self credit repair by putting
together a budget. Create a personal balance sheet by making a list
of your monthly debts versus your monthly income. This will give
you a birds-eye of your financial situation. This is your starting
point.

Let the battle begin! Request copies of your credit report. With
credit report in hand you will want to carefully review it line by
line and highlight the negative dings. Next you will want to
prepare what is called a letter of dispute and mail it back to the
credit bureaus, along with any proof regarding your claims.

Here’s a little self credit repair secret that I had to learn the
hard way. When you get ready to send off your letter of dispute,
make sure to send it certified mail. This will be the only proof
that you have of your dispute claims.

Avoid those free credit dispute letters that you see all over the
Internet. I have had several of my students share horror stories of
them attempting to use them. From my experience you are a lot
better off handwriting it or using a word processor. You don’t want
to come across like some attorney or bogus credit repair agency.

If you are serious about self credit repair you will need four
things. The first thing you will need is knowledge. The second is
organization. The third is persistence. The fourth is time. Your
credit didn’t go downhill overnight so don’t expect it to magically
be repaired overnight.
